Our people are our most important asset, and that’s why we want to do right by our colleagues by hiring competent team players to join them. To do that, we have developed an evidence-based recruitment 6 step process that will help us find our next star.

HOW WE HIRE AT CMOS

1. CV and cover letter screening

Your CV and cover letter are our first impression of you. We will look to see whether your experience matches what we are asking for, and how good you can communicate in writing. 

Tip: It’s easy to make typos, but plugins like Grammarly can help you proofread your application.

2. Phone interview

One of our recruiters will call you to have a quick chat and give you some more information about the role. We will also ask you some questions on your experience.

3. Competency-based interview with your recruiter. 

The interview with our recruitment team is the cornerstone of our selection process. We will start by giving you more information on the role and the company and let you ask any questions you may have. After that, we will use the STARR method to ask you about how you worked in a team in the past. We will also ask STARR-based questions about the competencies we think are necessary to do a great job in this role.

Tip: Start thinking of situations you’ve been in that relate to our values and competencies before the interview will make the process easier for you and your recruiter.

4. Interview with manager(s)

Once we’ve determined you would be a great team player with the necessary transferable skills, the direct manager for this role will have a chat with you to gauge your technical skills. This is also a great moment to see how well you get along with your potential direct manager. 

Tip: Come prepared with some thoughtful questions to make an extra good impression. 

5. Reference checks

You’ve had chats with every relevant party, and you’ve met all our criteria. Congrats! ???? 

Our final step is to check whether your previous managers, colleagues, or direct reports agree with what you have told us.

6. Final decision

We’ll review all the copious notes we have taken during the selection process and we’ll get in touch with you on our final decision, no matter the outcome.
